Carlos admits Kaka interest

by Setanta Staff , 03 February 2012 football news

PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he would relish the chance to work with Kaka again, but insists a new striker is his priority.

Despite having a relatively uneventful transfer window, the French club will have significant funds to spend in the summer thanks to the backing of their wealthy Qatari owners.

Brazilian star Kaka is one of a number of players linked with the Ligue 1 outfit after failing to hit the heights at current side Real Madrid.

Ancelotti worked with Kaka during his time in charge of AC Milan so is well aware of his talents and admits he would love to bring the 29-year-old to the French capital.

However, the former Chelsea boss admits he sees a striker as his number one priority when the window reopens in the summer.

"Kaka? I am in contact with him," Ancelotti told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"If Real Madrid want to sell him, we will try to sign him. "

There is always room for him, but it's not a priority because we already have (Jeremy) Menez and [Javier] Pastore in the same role."

"In June, the priority will be a striker, but not necessarily [Alexandre] Pato.

"We are also following (Internacional's, Leandro) Damiao."
