Robbo targets 'defining' victory

by Setanta Staff , 03 February 2012

Scotland boss Andy Robinson is determined for his side to put their 'nearly men' tag behind them ahead of their clash with England.

The Scots are preparing for their opening game of the Six Nations tournament, with the Calcutta Cup encounter taking place at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Scotland will be looking for revenge following their narrow defeat to England at the World Cup, where the Celtic outfit failed to qualify for the group stages of the competition for the first time in their history.

Robinson also saw his side just miss out against Argentina at the tournament in New Zealand and the coach is determined for his side to put together a full 80 minutes of decent rugby against England.

He said: "We are looking for Saturday to be the defining moment.

"We are still in a state of having this unlucky losers tag.

"We have to take the next step, not just on Saturday but throughout. Then we can say we are going somewhere."
