Steven Gerrard believes that the return of Luis Suarez will be the boost the Reds need in their bid for a top four spot this season.
The Uruguay international comes back from his eight-match ban on Monday when Tottenham are the visitors to Anfield and Gerrard believes his return will spur the Reds on in the final third of the season.
"Luis can help us achieve what we set out to achieve - finishing top four and reaching two finals," Gerrard told BBC Sport.
"I'm sure he will because he's a super player. Luis has shown over the last 12 months that he's one of the best players in the world so we want these players available.
"He has been missed and the players are looking forward to welcoming him back."
