Barcelona have dismissed speculation linking them with a summer swoop for Arsenal star Robin van Persie.
The Dutchman took his tally for the season to 22 with a hat-trick against Blackburn at the weekend and Barca are keeping tabs on his contract situation at the Emirates Stadium.
The striker will fall out of contract in 2013 and a number of clubs could try and land him for a cut-price fee, when the window re-opens at the end of the season.
Barcelona are one of those clubs but for now they are concentrating on matters on the pitch, according to vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
"Nothing exists with RVP," Bartomeu revealed. "It's rumours that appear in the papers. We've not contacted Arsenal, nor his agent. Our focus is now on La Liga and Copa del Rey.
"It's necessary to be focused on the task at hand and not be distracted by the transfer market."
