Too soon for treble talk - Lennon

by Setanta Staff , 06 February 2012 Celtic_SPL

Neil Lennon has warned that 'things can change quickly' to derail Celtic's season after he was asked if they could win the treble.

The Hoops chief was delighted after goals from striker Georgios Samaras and Scott Brown's second-half spot kick sealed a 2-0 win for his side in their Scottish Cup fifth-round win at Inverness on Saturday.

Celtic also hold a one point lead and have a game in hand over Rangers at the top of the SPL and recently booked a place in the Scottish Communities League Cup final, where they will play Kilmarnock at Hampden next month.

Therefore, the situation is looking good for the Glasgow giants, but Lennon is refusing to get ahead of himself by insisting that they have won nothing yet.

Lennon said: "Things can change very quickly but we are really pleased with where we are at the minute.

"It was the toughest tie we probably could have had, apart from being at Ibrox, so I'm thrilled to get through it.

"We wanted to be in all the competitions at the end of yesterday, that was the remit before the game, and we are so it's good.

"But there is a long way to go yet."
