Johnson backs Suarez

by Setanta Staff , 08 February 2012 Defender backs Luis

Glen Johnson believes that Luis Suarez will have the mental strength of character to get through the clash at Old Trafford.

The Uruguay international has served his eight game ban following his clash with Patrice Evra and returned as a susbstitute in the draw with Spurs but the next test will be a tough one as Liverpool travel to Old Trafford.

"It is a tough place to go Old Trafford. Luis is a strong character and he will try to let his football do the talking," said the England international.

"He is a fantastic player, he has had a long break now and hopefully he will be fresh and ready to put in a performance at the weekend.

"He is the sort of player we need in the team."
