The Six Nations Council have confirmed the postponed RBS Six Nations tie between France and Ireland will not be rescheduled for this weekend.
Saturday's match at the Stade de France was abandoned just minutes before the 8pm kick-off after referee Dave Pearson deemed the pitch to be unplayable.
There had been calls for the match to be played this weekend, February 17/18/19, but at a meeting of the Six Nations Council on Monday it was decided to delay rescheduling the fixture.
"Further to a meeting of the Six Nations Council today, we can confirm that the postponed RBS Six Nations France vs Ireland match will not take place this weekend (Feb 17/18/19)," a statement from the Six Nations read.
"A further meeting of the Council will take place tomorrow to hopefully resolve the issues of rescheduling and ticket policy.
"There are very significant logistical issues arising from this situation, and we would wish to be in a position to give a comprehensive clarification following the meeting."
A decision on the rescheduled match is expected on Tuesday but it looks certain the match will be played on the weekend of March 3-4, which will result in both France and Ireland having to play matches on four consecutive weekends.
