Olsson hails hat-trick hero Odemwingie

West Brom's Jonas Olsson is hoping striker Peter Odemwingie's weekend hat-trick against Wolves will kick his season into top gear.

Odemwingie netted 15 times in his debut season and played a major role in the Baggies surviving in the Premier League.

But he had struggled with injuries and a loss of form during the current campaign until his treble against Wolves which sealed the fate of manager Mick McCarthy.

Olsson told Press Association Sport: "I know how frustrating it is for a striker when he is struggling a bit with scoring goals. "

Everyone knows Peter has got it in him.

It was great for him to get the hat-trick and maybe he will kick on now and keep scoring.

"When he is on form, he is one of the best strikers in the league. Scoring 15 goals for us last season was fantastic. "

It is one thing doing that for a Manchester United or an Arsenal but scoring 15 goals for West Brom is a top performance."
