Tevez will apologise - Joorabchian

Carlos Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian has confirmed that the player will apologise to Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.

The Argentina international has not featured for City since September after a well documented fall-out with Mancini and the club following his refusal to warm-up during the 2-0 Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich.

Tevez, who is under contract with City until the summer of 2014, has been on unauthorised leave in Argentina in recent months and it appeared as if there was no chance of mending ties between the forward and the club.

However, after Tevez failed to secure a move away from the Etihad Stadium during the January transfer window despite interest from Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Corinthians and Boca Juniors, he stressed a desire to resurrect his career at City.

The former Manchester United man returned to the club on Tuesday and underwent a series of medical assessments as City wanted to check his fitness levels.

And it now seems that Tevez is willing to acknowledge Mancini's request for an apology before he will contemplate pitching him back into the first-team squad in the remaining three months of the season.

"From a football point of view Carlos can only be an asset," Joorabchian said, according to the Telegraph. "Clearly he has a lot of repairs to do with the fans. He is ready to apologise."
