Padraic Maher will captain Tipperary from full-back against Cork in Sunday's Allianz Hurling League semi-final at Semple Stadium.

The Thurles Sarsfields clubman is set to deputise for the injured Paul Curran and will line out in the last line of defence alongside Conor O'Brien, who comes in for the Donagh Maher, and Michael Cahill.

In the half-back line Toomevara's David Young will square up to Jamie Coughlan with Conor O'Mahony spearheading the Premier County defence from centre-back.

Meanwhile, Niall McCarthy is one of four changes in the Cork team for the trip to hurling's spiritual home.

McCarthy gets his opportunity due to Cathal Naughton's pulled hamstring while former captain John Gardiner comes in at midfield to partner Lorcan McLoughlin in place of Darren Sweetman.

Elsewhere, Conor O'Sullivan starts at right-corner back due to Brian Murphy's hamstring injury with Jamie Coughlan moves to wing-forward and Luke O'Farrell getting the nod at right corner-forward ahead of Conor Lehane.

Tannian replaced Barry Daly at midfield the last day, and the Ardrahan clubman gets the nod this time around.
