Rangers' week went from catastrophic to downright shambolic as they crashed to a 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock at Ibrox.
Dean Shiels scored the only goal of the game to inflict the Gers' first home defeat of the season in the SPL.
Shiels eased past a few Rangers defenders and clinically placed the ball to goalkeeper Allan McGregor's right, giving Killie thoughts of ending the day in the top half of the table.
Rangers, for whom Maurice Edu had a shot cleared off the line before Shiels' goal, were in further trouble when Sasa Papac was sent off for a crude foul on Liam Kelly.
Late on, Lee McCulloch was punished for a foul on Bell just as the home fans thought he had equalised.
Unfortunately for Rangers, however, no equaliser was forthcoming and the Glasgow club fell to 14 points behind bitter rivals Celtic.
