Kieron Dyer had no ill-effects from his run-out with West Ham's reserves and may be in contention for the visit of Bolton on March 6.
The 31-year-old former England midfielder made a very late substitute appearance in the Hammers' 3-0 Premier League defeat at Manchester United on Tuesday, before an hour-long run-out in a 2-1 victory for the reserves against Chelsea's second string the following night.
It has now emerged that Dyer came through the match with flying colours and, with a blank weekend, he now has a week to get more fitness under his belt.
If he comes through unscathed then Gianfranco Zola could consider him for the crucial match against the Trotters at Upton Park a week on Saturday.
