Martin loaned out again

by Admin , 12 March 2010 Liverpool Generic

Derby have signed Liverpool reserve keeper David Martin on loan in time for him to make his debut at Doncaster Rovers.

Captain Robbie Savage was forced to play in goal at Reading on Wednesday night after first-choice Stephen Bywater was forced off with a back injury and his replacement Saul Deeney was then sent off.

Martin is expected to go straight into the Rams side while academy keeper James Severn could be on the bench if Bywater doesn't recover.

The former England Youth international has not made a first-team appearance for Liverpool but has had loan spells at Accrington Stanley, Leicester City, Tranmere Rovers and Leeds United.

He started as a trainee at MK Dons and is the son of former West Ham United and England defender Alvin Martin.
