West Ham's influential midfielder Scott Parker has targeted a place in Fabio Capello's England squad for the World Cup finals.
Parker may well involved in a relegation battle with the Hammers but he has not given up hope of making it into Fabio Capello's squad, although he knows he has a job on his hands to make the squad.
"I always think about England. When every squad is named, I think maybe I could have chance or come in if somebody gets injured," Parker told The Mirror.
"I was in the squad for the game in Germany last season but if I'm being honest, I would have thought I would have been involved a little bit more now.
"All I can do is keep playing well for West Ham. That's my main aim. If something comes of that, then brilliant."
