Tottenham are closing in on a swoop for Brazilian midfielder Sandro according to Internacionale president Vittorio Piffero.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has been chasing the samba star for some time but he is now close to landing his man and a deal could be signed and sealed as early as next week.
Daniel Levy has been continuing negotiations with Internacionale and all that remains is for the highly-rated 21-year-old to put pen-to-paper on a contract.
"The negotiations with Tottenham have been going on since last summer, but now we are in the key moment," Piffero said. "The deal is agreed and we will sign this week.
"I don't expect that to change because the agreement has been made between all parties."
