Peterborough boss Gary Johnson has confirmed he is keen to keep hold of Craig Mackail-Smith, George Boyd and Aaron McLean.
Posh will be plying their trade in League One next season but Johnson remains hopeful all three will continue their careers at London Road next season.
He said: "As a manager I would love to have all three of them here next season.
"
They were all excellent the last time the club was in League One and they would be a success again.
"I will obviously use the last four weeks of the season to check on the entire squad, but I know we have a lot of decent footballers here."
However, Boyd is currently on-loan at Nottingham Forest and may make a permanent switch to the City Ground in the summer, although he always maintained he was happy at Peterborough United.
