Boss Mark Robins has warned his players that for some of them the next couple of games could be their last for the club.
Barnsley have survived in the Championship but look likely to finish in the lower reaches of the table and Robins has hinted at a busy summer ahead as he moulds the squad into one he wants.
He said: "Yes, we're safe and I have been relieved about that this last couple of weeks, but I'm going to be busy in the summer, I think.
"
I've been telling the lads not to let this be the last couple of games they play for this club so hopefully that message will get through."
