Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins has admitted star striker Gary Hooper is likely to depart Glanford Park in the summer.
Hooper's contract expires at the end of next season and the likes of Derby County and Ipswich Town have been linked with a £1million move for the Scunthorpe striker.
Adkins had maintained he was keen to keep hold of Hooper, but the Iron boss has now confirmed the striker may leave during the summer.
He said: "Billy Sharp and Martin Paterson moved on for big money and Gary Hooper is the next logical one as we are trying to be a developmental club where we allow players to come in, develop and move on to bigger and better things for a decent fee."
