Gary Johnson has revealed that up to four players have already agreed to sign for relegated Peterborough United in the summer.
The former Bristol City chief is not wasting any time in preparing his squad for an assault on League One as Posh aim to bounce back into the Championship at the first attempt.
And, while Johnson insists players will be moved out of London Road, he is already working hard to bolster the team.
He told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "I have told some of our current players they are not part of my plans for next season and I will tell some more this week.
"
Some footballers are happy to sit on their contracts rather than move on but hopefully we can reduce the squad numbers.
"But players not leaving will not affect my ability to bring players in. My brief is to get the club back up to the Championship and if we end up with a squad of 64 players so be it!
"I have started work on strengthening the squad already and it's encouraging three or four players have already agreed to join us in the summer.
If we can add a couple more than I will be happy."
