Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell says he's been priced out of bringing Nyron Nosworthy back on loan next season.
The 29-year-old played 19 games for the Blades last season having struggled to establish himself in the Black Cats first team following the arrivals of John Mensah and Michael Turner.
Blackwell has admitted he was impressed by Nosworthy's spell at Bramall Lane but says he won't be bringing him back to Yorkshire at the moment for financial reasons.
"At this moment in time the finance will be too great for us to do a deal," said Blackwell.
"There is no doubt that Nyron was well respected during his time here, not just by the players and the staff, but also by the fans, which is important.
"
It would have been a big signing if we could have done it but at this moment he is probably out of our reach."
