Iran international Andranik Teymourian is set for a move to Sheffield United after rejecting an extended trial with Blackburn.
The 27-year-old has been looking for a new club after being released by Fulham at the end of last season and Rovers boss Sam Allardyce had offered him the chance to revive his career at Ewood Park after first working with him at Bolton in 2006.
Teymurian recently linked up with Blackburn for a trial period and featured in the friendlies against Southport and Huddersfield this week.
Allardyce was keen to take a closer look at the midfielder and invited him on the club's pre-season tour of Australia but Teymourian decided not to travel with the rest of the Rovers squad and is now holding talks with Sheffield United about a possible move to Bramall Lane.
