Cribbin to continue in Offaly

by Setanta staff , 08 September 2010

Tom Cribbin will take charge of the Offaly footballers for a third year in 2011 after being re-appointed on Tuesday night.

The Kildare native has been in command of the Faithful footballers since early in 2009 and it was unanimously agreed at an Offaly GAA County Board meeting in Tullamore that he be kept on.

Declan McGovern and Declan Farrell will continue as selectors with a third man to be appointed.

Offaly’s footballers were heavily beaten by eventual provincial champions Meath in the first round of the Leinster Championship in 2010, but bounced back to beat Clare and Waterford in the qualifiers.

Down sent them out in round three on their way to the All-Ireland final in two Sunday’s time.

Meanwhile, it is also expected that Joe Dooley will inform the Offaly County Board in the near future if he has an interest in continuing in charge of the county hurlers.
