Edu demanding focus

by Admin , 08 September 2010 SPL_Rangers

Rangers midfielder Maurice Edu is pleading for his colleagues to concentrate on the task in hand against Hamilton this weekend.

The American knows a lot of people will be looking ahead to the Gers' clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford next week, but they have the small matter of an SPL clash with Hamilton Academical before setting off for England.

Rangers have a 100% record in the league so far, but the defending champions sit behind Celtic on goal difference and need to ensure they do not slip up on Saturday.

Hamilton go into the game having picked up their first three points of the season, and Edu has called on his Rangers team-mates to get the job done at New Douglas Park and maintain their perfect start to the season.

"The Old Trafford game is obviously going to be exciting and we're all looking forward to that," said the US star.

"But at the same time you've got to take care of business before that.

"We're not looking past this game this weekend - that's our focus right now.

"After that game we'll turn our attention to the game at Old Trafford."
