Galway have accepted the choice of venue for Saturday's All-Ireland U21HC final but they are not happy.
The Tribsemen take on Tipperary in the under-age decider, but they were furious that the game is being played at Semple Stadium in Thurles in the Premier County.
County board chairman Joe Byrne had appealed for the venue to be changed so that one team did not have home advantage, but the CCCC opted not to change it.
A meeting of clubs in Galway was planned for Tuesday evening to discuss taking another step against the decision - and a boycott of the game had been strongly mooted - but the get-together did not take place, leaving the west of Ireland side to accept the GAA decision.
"We are very unhappy with the way all this has been handled and we want all of that examined, but, for now, it is a matter of concentrating on the game on Saturday. We are very angry about the whole matter," an unhappy Byrne said.
Meanwhile, it has emerged that Galway minor football boss Gerry Fahy has emerged as ta strong contender to replace the departed Joe Kernan as senior county football boss.
