Ireland trio back in Munster squad

by Setanta staff , 08 September 2010

Ronan O’Gara, Donncha O’Callaghan and Tomas O’Leary are all in the Munster squad for Friday’s Magners League trip to Edinburgh.

The Ireland trio are in line to make their first appearances of the season after missing the opening night win over Aironi, however their international colleagues Jerry Flannery, Keith Earls and David Wallace are all still out.

Hooker Flannery remains absent with a hamstring problem and flanker Wallace is waiting on a back knock to recover. However, both players as well as centre duo Lifeimi Mafi and Barry Murphy should soon be available to coach Tony McGahan once more.

Ealrs is likely to be out a bit longer. The versatile back hurt his ankle in pre-season and is not expected to take to the field for the province until the first round of the Heineken Cup early in October.

Munster squad: D Hurley, F Jones, S Deasy, I Dowling, D Howlett, D Barnes, J Murphy, S Tuitupou, R O’Gara, P Warwick, D Williams, P Stringer, T O’Leary. W du Preez, M Horan, D Varley, D Fogarty, J Hayes, T Buckley, D O’Callaghan, B Holland, D Ryan, M O’Driscoll, I Nagle, A Quinlan, N Ronan, D Leamy, T O’Donnell, P O’Mahony.
