Louth to lose awesome foursome

by Setanta staff , 08 September 2010

Up to four Louth football stars look set to be unavailable to the county panel next year.

Brian White, John O'Brien, Mick Fanning and Shane Lennon are all believed to be looking at travelling to Australia in search of employment.

Several Wednesday newspapers suggest that the foursome will not be available to manager Peter Fitzpatrick next year as the Wee County look to bow back from their controversial Leinster final defeat to Meath and subsequent qualifier schooling by Dublin.

All four played key roles in what had been a good summer for Louth until the last minute of the Leinster final, with Cooley Kickhams man White a star in midfield and Sean O'Mahonys’ O’Brien excelling in defence.

Naomh Mairtin clubman Fanning is a fine versatile defender, while Kilkerley's Lennon (pictured) has been a key man in the Louth attack for a number of years and was excellent throughout the 2010 season.
