Coventry have finally signed highly-rated teenager Danny Ward from Bolton on a loan deal until January.
The Sky Blues have been after the 18-year-old, who was on loan at Swindon last season and helped them into the play-off final, for some time and finally completed the loan deal after the youngster agreed a new three-year contract with the Trotters.
Coventry boss Aidy Bothyroyd is pleased with the acquisition, who will boost their hopes of securing promotion from the Championship this term.
"Danny is a fantastic signing for us," he said. "There was a lot of interest from other clubs in the division, so it is a testament to the set-up here that he opted to join us.
"
He adds another option to the squad and he has the potential to get goals, so I am looking forward to working with him.
"Everyone saw what he was capable of during his spell with Swindon last season and he will only get better."
He added: "We will get the benefit of that development, while he will benefit from being here."
