A dramatic injury time goal from Gary Hooper gave Celtic a 1-0 win over St. Mirren at New St. Mirren Park.
Celtic dominated the first half but found it impossible to break down a stubborn Buddies defence. The best effort they managed was a tame shot by Anthony Stokes, which was saved by St. Mirren goalkeeper Craig Samson saved with ease.
The deadlock was almost broken in the 52nd minute, and it was the home side with the chance.
Michael Higdon unleashed a 35-yard dipping volley which beat Celtic goalkeeper Frazer Forster but not the crossbar.
Hooper then saw a header saved by Samson when it looked easier for the former Scunthorpe man to score.
Gareth Wardlaw forced Forster into a brilliant save with a powerful drive as the match seemed to be heading for a stalemate, but Hooper had other idea in injury time.
Celtic drove forward and in the second minute of added time Hooper grabbed a dramatic winner from three yards out.
