Mourinho rubbishes City talk

by Setanta Staff , 14 April 2011 football news

Jose Mourinho insists he will not be joining Manchester City as manager in the summer, having stated he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid just yet.

The Portuguese was asked about links to City after seeing Madrid advance to the Champions League semi-finals at the expense of Tottenham.

However, he told Sky Italia he had no intention of replacing the under-fire Roberto Mancini.

"Me to Manchester City? That's impossible," he said.

It is well known that Mourinho would relish a return to England at some point in the future, and he has also been linked with former club Chelsea and Manchester United, when Sir Alex Ferguson finally calls time on his career.

Meanwhile, Mourinho has told AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi that only a crazy offer would tempt him to part with top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo.

"I'm not saying it's impossible, because in football you never know, and (AC Milan's owner, Silvio) Berlusconi can make a crazy offer," he said.

"But it must be a true madness because Real Madrid don't want to sell Cristiano Ronaldo."
