Doncaster have swooped to bring youngster James Baxendale to his hometown club.
The 18-year-old was released by Leeds earlier in the summer, prompting Rovers to hand him a first professional contract.Baxendale is looking forward to progressing with Doncaster, whose style of football he has admired from afar."I like the style of play and brand of football that the fans get to watch here at the Keepmoat," he told the club's official website. "When I knew the boss was interested, he didn't really have to sell the football club to me."
He added: "I would say I'm like a young Joe Cole - not the fastest, but able to beat a man with a trick."
