Stockdale signs deal, heads for Ipswich

Fulham have revealed David Stockdale has signed a four-year extension to his contract and gone on loan to Ipswich for the season.


The 25-year-old shot stopper has impressed since joining the Cottagers in 2008, working his way through the pecking order to become the understudy to Mark Schwarzer.

Stockdale won the club's player of the month award for August last season and his form with the Cottagers saw him earn a call-up to the England squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier with Switzerland.

Having asked for more first team experience Fulham have allowed Stockdale to go out on a season-long loan to Ipswich but not before they go him to put pen to paper on a deal which will see him stay at Craven Cottage until 2015.
