Andrews seals Ipswich loan

by Setanta Staff , 12 August 2011

Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Keith Andrews on loan from Blackburn Rovers until January.

The 30-year-old midfielder has been capped 20 times for the Republic of Ireland and played for Wolves, Oxford, Stoke, Walsall, Hull, and MK Dons before he joined Rovers.

Andrews told Town's official website: "I spoke to a couple of clubs but after speaking to the manager (Paul Jewell) and the owner here, everything seemed right and it was an easy decision to make.

"It seems as if the club is going places and I think Ipswich is going to challenge in terms of promotion.

"With the facilities here and the backing the team has from the owner it made me have a really good feeling about this place and I'm looking forward to my time here."
