Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson is still waiting to learn whether on-loan Stoke winger Ben Marshall will extend his stay at Hillsborough.
Marshall has made 19 appearances for the Owls, scoring four goals, since arriving on loan in August and Megson is keen to keep him longer.
However, Stoke are still in talks with the 20-year-old over his future, while several other clubs are reported to be interested.
Megson told the club's official website: "I've spoken with Tony Pulis, as I do often anyway, but we'll deal with the situation as and when it arises. Everybody knows what we want to do, it's whether we can get it done.
"
It's between Stoke and Ben, not Sheffield Wednesday, and we have to wait and see what happens between those two parties."
Marshall's current loan deal with Wednesday expires on January 15.
