Diniyar Bilyaletdinov's father claims his son has wanted to leave Everton for the past six months as Spartak Moscow close in on a deal
A move to Moscow should be completed within the next 48 hours, after the two sides reportedly agreed a fee of around £5m for the player who cost £9m when he signed back in 2009.
His father Rinat has told Russian news network RIA Novosti that Bilyaletdinov wants to be involved in next summer's Euro 2012 finals and in order to do that he needs to be playing so he has been looking for a move for six months.
"The situation at Everton has reached the point where he has to leave," he said. "Diniyar has wanted to leave for six months.
"I don't think he had a choice, especially with Euro 2012 coming up, where he needs to reach a point where he is guaranteed to play."
