Gabby Agbonlahor has pledged his future to Aston Villa and claims rival clubs 'know it would be a waste of time' asking about him.
The England international striker came through the ranks at Villa Park and has become an influential member of the team over the years.
And, while there has been the odd rumour about Agbonlahor attracting the interests of other clubs, the forward has likened himself to Liverpool's Steven Gerrard in that he has no intentions of leaving his boyhood team.
"I think other clubs know how much I love playing for Villa," said Agbonlahor on the club's website.
"I don't think there's ever been a bid in for me. They know that this is the club I want to stay at and it's somewhere it would be hard to get me to leave.
"I think it's the same at other places that have players who are that club through and through like Steven Gerrard and Liverpool.
"People know they would find it really hard to get players like us away from the clubs we love. They don't put bids in for us because they know we won't leave."
