Chelsea captain John Terry has been ruled out of the Blues' Premier League game at Swansea because of fluid on his knee.
Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas announced Terry would not travel for the match at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday after aggravating an injury to his right knee first suffered in this month's FA Cup win over Portsmouth.
The court case into allegations that Terry racially abused QPR defender Anton Ferdinand during the October clash at Loftus Road begins this week.
The Swansea match takes place less than 24 hours before proceedings begin at Westminster Magistrates Court over whether Terry used a racist slur against QPR defender Ferdinand back in October, a charge he denies.
Chelsea are also without injured midfielder Ramires for a month while Didier Drogba and Saloman Kalou are not likely to be due back from the African Cup of Nations until mid-February.
