Man Utd defender Jonny Evans is out of Northern Ireland's friendly against Albania tomorrow but his loss is his brother Corry's gain.
Evans is returning to Old Trafford for further treatment on his knee after taking a knock during United's Carling Cup final over Aston Villa on Sunday.
The decision to send him home was taken following discussion between the player and the Northern Ireland medical team.
Evans had been hoping a day of rest would have cleared up the problem after he missed Monday's training session but there was no overnight improvement which prompted Nigel Worthington to call-up a replacement.
Younger brother Corry, 19, is currently in San Marino with the Under-21 squad for a UEFA championship qualifier tonight and will join up with the senior squad on Wednesday.
Worthington is short of defenders as Aaron Hughes and Chris Baird have been rested, while Gareth McAuley is injured.
