Warren Gatland found it hard to contain his frustration after watching his Wales team slump to a 27-12 defeat against Ireland at Croke Park on Saturday.
Wales matched Ireland in the early stages of the RBS Six Nations clash but once again Gatland's men lacked discipline, which proved costly as Ireland went over twice when full-back Lee Byrne was in the sin-bin.
Unlikely their previous matches they were unable to stage a second half comeback and Gatland spoke of his disappointment at his teams failure to learn from their mistakes.
"We are very disappointed," said Gatland. "Ireland were very good and very clinical. We had more territory and possession, but turnovers were costly for us.
"The yellow card was very costly in the game. We haven't learned our lesson from England, and from a coaching point of view that is very frustrating.
"We did create some chances and opportunities, but we tried to force things a little too much.
"We need to keep our patience and work on accuracy."
Gatland's views were shared by defence coach Shaun Edwards, who was quick to praise Ireland's defence.
"I am disappointed we went down to 14 men and conceded two tries, but the Irish defence was better than ours today," Edwards said.
Wales will close their Six Nations campaign with a home match against Italy and they must win to ensure they do not slip into the wooden spoon position.
