Lambert cool on title talk

by Admin , 15 March 2010 Lambert cool on title talk

Norwich boss Paul Lambert is playing down their chances of winning the title despite opening up a seven-point gap.

The Canaries picked up another crucial three points as they beat Huddersfield 3-1 and things got even better for the Canaries as nearest rivals Leeds lost at Southampton.

It means City are in a very strong position as they look to win promotion back to the Championship but Lambert is refusing to get carried away.

"Nobody here is thinking about the title," Lambert revealed. "Other people might look at the league table but we don't. The people at the club told me when I took over that I had to get the team to the play-offs. That was the only target."
