Tipp much-changed for Limerick trip

by GAA Staff , 19 March 2010

Tipperary boss Liam Sheedy has made eight changes for the Allianz NHL Division One game with Limerick on Sunday.

Tipp go into the game with the struggling Gaelic Grounds hosts on the back of back-to-back wins over Kilkenny and Galway and are strong favourites to down the Treaty men, even though there has been quite a shake-up in the side.

Darren Gleeson starts in goal for the all-Munster clash, while Paul Curran and Diarmuid Fitzgerald play in the full back line and there are starts for David Young and Hugh Maloney in the wing-back berths.

The midfield is as you were but Gearoid Ryan comes in at number 12, big man Micheal Webster starts at full forward and there is a first start at top of the left for Timmy Hammerlsey, who impressed from the bench against Galway.

Limerick, meanwhile, hand a surprising start to goalkeeper Tadhg Flynn. Flynn had not been expected to play after suffering a nasty neck injury in the defeat to Waterford last time out.

He was released from hospital the night of the match and had recovered though was still expected to not be quite ready for the game with the Premier.
