Robbie Keane scored his ninth goal in nine games as Celtic beat St Johnstone 3-0 at Parkhead, closing the gap on Rangers to 10 points.
Josh Thompson scored his first goal for Celtic when his 15th minute header beat Graeme Smith in the visitors goal.
A Robbie Keane penalty put Tony Mowbray’s men into a more comfortable position after 67 minutes and George Samaras sealed the result with just two minutes left on the clock.
After Thompson’s opener, St Johnstone didn’t lie down, and Gavin Swankie struck the outside of the post just after the break.
Aiden McGeady went up the other end minutes later and struck the post too, and the Bhoys pressure began to tell.
Keane was twice denied at close range by Smith before the ‘keeper brought down Marc-Antoine Fortune, and Keane slotted home the spot kick.
The final period was more lacklustre, but substitute Samaras, on for Fortune, added some gloss when he slipped a third under the advancing Smith.
