Aquarius looking to come of Age

by setanta.com staff , 27 July 2010

The Aidan O'Brien-trained Age Of Aquarius will face 11 rivals in the Group Two Artemis Goodwood Cup on Thursday.

In a thrilling finish, Age Of Aquarius narrowly went down to fellow Irish raider Rite Of Passage in the Ascot Gold Cup on June 17 and will be ridden by Johnny Murtagh after the conclusion of his suspension.

Totesport Ebor winner Purple Moon, who was third on that day, will attempt to go one if not two better for Jeremy Noseda while Ladbrokes St Leger runner-up Kite Wood will also take his chance.

Nicky Henderson's 13-year-old Caracciola is back for another go having finished fourth last season in the Group Two event with Godolphin's Wajir, the John Dunlop-trained Tactic, Saptapadi from Sir Michael Stoute's yard, Illustrious Blue, Free Agent, Electrolyser, The Betchworth Kid and Kid Charlemagne making up the field.
