Etherington wants Cole at Britannia

by Setanta Staff , 31 July 2010

Matthew Etherington has called on Stoke to do everything in their power to bring Carlton Cole to the Britannia Stadium.

Stoke have already have a £9million bid for the striker turned down, but Etherington believes manager Tony Pulis should not give up on his pursuit of the England international.

"It would be a good move for him to come here," Cole told The Sun.

"Given the ideas the manager has and the way the club want to push forward, I'd definitely recommend it.

"Coley is a London boy but it wouldn't be a problem for him living up here - just as it hasn't been for me. I'd tell him it was the best move I could have made."
