Juan Manuel Marquez has targeted a third bout with Manny Pacquiao after defeating Juan Diaz in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Marquez recorded an unanimous points victory, before setting his sights on a third contest against Pacquiao, despite being linked with a fight with Amir Khan.
"The trilogy is what we want," said on Sky Sports after Saturday's win. "It's the best thing for boxing, for the fans."
The last time Marquez had battled Diaz, last year, Diaz had been on top early on before being knocked out by his opponent in the ninth round.
Saturday's contest began in far more even fashion, and although Diaz appeared to be in control at times, Marquez landed enough punches to comfortably win over the judges.
"The first one was difficult, it was a war for both," the victor said. "This was more technical but I managed to come out on top.
"He's a great fighter. He knows some technique. But tonight the technique was in our favour."
