Hurricane Fly will have a light schedule as Willie Mullins attempts to get him to the Cheltenham Festival at the third time of asking.
The six-year-old has been hugely impressive for Mullins but injuries have prevented him from lining up at the National Hunt Festival for the last two seasons.
Indeed, he was restricted to just two starts last year because of problems but he looked as sharp as ever when landing the Rabobank Champion Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival on the back of a five-month lay-off.
Mullins is hoping everything can go right for his star this time around and is looking at bringing him back for the Dobbins & Madigans At Punchestown Hurdle in November.
"Paul (Townend) produced him nicely at Punchestown, I thought he was beaten 50 yards from the line but the horse put his head down and said he wasn't going to be beaten," Mullins told At The Races.
"I love a horse like that with plenty of guts and he has ability as well, so hopefully we can keep him right for Cheltenham this year.
"Our main aim will be to get him towards Cheltenham as he's missed the boat the last two years.
"I don't think a heavy schedule is any good to him and I haven't sat down and thought about where he'd start yet.
"I'd imagine the race at Punchestown he ran in last November might be an idea."
