Aquilani loving the Turin life

by Admin , 30 October 2010

Alberto Aquilani claims he is happy at loan-club Juventus and could well remain in Turin after his loan deal expires.

The 26-year-old moved from Roma to Liverpool in the summer of 2009 but, despite arriving at Anfield with a big reputation and sizeable price tag, he failed to shine and has been a peripheral figure at the club, with rumours that he was unhappy in England.

Roy Hodgson's arrival as manager saw the Italy international midfielder loaned out to Juve at the start of the current campaign and the Italians do have the option of purchasing the player on a permanent basis next summer.

Aquilani has made it clear that he is enjoying life back in Serie A and is relishing the chance to play a slightly different role from when he was at Liverpool.

"I like the team. I like Turin. I have found a home. I am happy," he told La Stampa.

"I am more of a central midfielder. Before, I was further forward in the offensive phase. Now I have to have more balance and be careful also in defence."
