Vladimir Weiss is in contention to play for Rangers in Wednesday evening’s Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League clash with Hibernian.
The Slovakian winger, on loan from Manchester City, has been troubled by bruising to his heel, but he has been training this week and is hoping to face Colin Calderwood’s struggling Edinburgh outfit.
There are no fresh injury worries for the champions and league leaders, who downed St Mirren 3-1 on Sunday to regain top spot after Celtic’s 9-0 win over Aberdeen. Andy Webster, James Beattie and Nikica Jelavic are, however, still sidelined.
Calderwood has a striker shortage for the trip to Ibrox, with Derek Riordan suspended after his red card in the home defeat to Hearts on Sunday.
Colin Nish (ankle) and Darryl Duffy (foot) are also unavailable, so it could be a rearguard action from the visitors.
Goalkeeper Graham Stack (back) and winger Merouane Zemmama (knee) are still out, while midfielder Kevin McBride (sickness) is a doubt as well for second-from-bottom Hibernian.
