Celtic match lost to frozen pitch

Saturday's Scottish Premier League match between Hamilton and Celtic at New Douglas Park has been abandoned due to a frozen pitch.

A water main located next to the electronic controls for the undersoil heating burst on Friday night and as a result left the pitch exposed to the elements.

Temperatures plummeted overnight and a pitch inspection at 7.45am found the surface to be unplayable.
