Stoke City have reportedly offered Hoffenheim £5.9million for Senegal striker Demba Ba.
Ba, who has starred for the Bundesliga side this season but recently made the headlines with his attempts at seeking a move away from Hoffenheim, is the subject of a firm bid from the Potters according to Sky Sports News.
The 25-year-old, who was heavily linked with Stoke’s Premier League rivals West Ham United before claiming that his German club were blocking that move, recently refused to join Hoffenheim’s winter training camp at La Manga as he tried to force home a move.
Hoffenheim now though appear to have conceded that their man will not play for them again and Stoke have entered the race for the player who has scored two goals in nine games for Senegal.
Ba is expected to arrive in England on Thursday evening and, if a deal is confirmed, could even be available for Saturday’s Premier League encounter
with Bolton Wanderers at the Britannia Stadium.
