The final of the Nicky Rackard Cup is set to get underway in Croke Park at 4pm on Saturday, and will be contested by Louth and London.
Both teams will be eager to win the trophy, and Louth have made no changes to the team that started against Monaghan in the semi-final nearly two weeks ago. Manager Paddy Kelly has voiced his confidence in his team, and hopes they can maintain the form they’ve shown in the lead up to tomorrow’s match. The Wee county will be hoping that left wing forward Diarmuid Murphy can rack up another impressive score count, after he scored 0-9 against Monaghan.
London go into this game as favourites however, and manager Eamonn Phelan will be eager to reclaim the trophy he won as a player in 2005.
These two teams have already met this season, with London beating Louth 6-20 to 1-10 in Dundalk. They will also be hoping that Martin Finn can maintain his current form, as the forward has scored 1-15 in London’s last two games.
